Texas Teen Online
Important Information

For over 28 years, All Star has been committed to keeping our roads safe offering state-certified Driver Education classes for teens and adults across the midwest.

Our course is set up as the “Block Method” so students will be required to complete the entire course before obtaining their certificate of completion (DE-964 Form). We will email this certificate to the email address listed on your online account, so please check all details when going through our registration process. Once the course is complete, you will then need to find a TDLR approved driving school to set up the driving time.

In addition to our interactive & engaging curriculum, All Star is now proudly offering the Texas Class C Exam FREE OF CHARGE! That’s right; the usual “permit test” that the DPS requires to be taken when applying for the Learner’s License can now be taken ahead of time from the comfort of your own home! It doesn’t get much more convenient than that. Register today to take advantage of the many benefits that All Star is offering with our Texas Teen Online Driver Education Course!

Once the entire course has been fully completed, your student will still need to complete the following Behind the Wheel Driving;
  • 7 Hours of “Behind the Wheel” in-car instruction
  • 7 Hours of “Observation” driving time
  • 30 Hours of Additional Driving Time
You can complete the driving instruction with a DPS/TDLR approved driving school once completed with this course, or you can complete the driving with a parent/guardian with the Parent Taught Course. With our simple registration process and our state-approved self paced online program, it’s no surprise that so many students are choosing All Star from their online driver’s training. Texas Teen Online FAQ’s

Texas Teen Online Driver Education is for students who live in the state who are age 14 to 17. If you’re 18 or older, you can take Texas Online Adult Driver Education; 6-hour driving course for adults.

  • The program consists of 32 hours of online instruction which is required by the state to be eligible for the road test.
  • As part of the course, you have the option to take the Class C Exam (written knowledge test) within the program rather than at the DPS. The knowledge test will be waived if it was completed during the driver education course. This must be completed prior to taking the final exam.
  • A road test is required to be eligible for your license.

It is equivalent to the permit test taken through the DPS when applying for your Learner’s License.

After you successfully complete the online program, you will need to select an approved driving school to complete the required behind the wheel training. You must obtain your permit to begin driving. The state of Texas requires that you complete 7 hours of behind the wheel training, 7 hours of observation and 30 hours of practice driving with a parent or guardian.

No refunds are issued after the start of class. All other approved refunds are subject to a $5 processing fee, can take up to 10 business days, are credited back to the card on which they were purchased and are issued only to the person who paid for the program.
