Please ensure that your Oklahoma DPS-approved Parent-Taught Affidavit is completed. The completed affidavit and approval number must be submitted to All Star. This is a requirement to participate in the course.

Course Information

Once the online course is completed, the final exam is passed with a minimum score of 70%, and your drive log has been turned into All Star, a Certificate of Completion will be mailed to the address on record. *Please remember all drives must be completed with the students permit in hand. To receive a permit you must take your Parent Taught course enrollment receipt with you to your local Licensing Office.

Frequently Asked Questions

A student may begin the Oklahoma self-guided course after the parent has been approved by the Department of Public Safety as a parent-instructor and receives an authorization number. Students must be 15 years old to start the All Star Parent-Taught program which is approved by the state of Oklahoma. The required Parent-Taught Driver Education Packet and affidavit, can be completed and submitted online. To initiate the course after completing payment, please email a copy of the approved ParentTaught Affidavit to All Star. Finish the self-guided Driver Education course first, and then commence the behind-the-wheel phase of training with a parent. Start your Driver Education journey with All Star the day you turn 15 years old!

The Oklahoma PTDE program offers a self-guided approach, allowing students to conveniently complete the course at their own pace from home with the guidance and support of a parent. Upon completing the course, students can fulfill the required 55 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with a parent. Once you receive approval from the Department of Public Safety, please forward it to All Star to receive the DVD or USB required to begin the self-guided program. Course materials include DVD or USB, Driver Education Lesson Plans, Digital Curriculum, Tests, Recall Exercises, Drive Log, Final Exam. Students are granted 180 days to complete the program.

If you’re under the age of 16 and aiming to get an Oklahoma learner’s permit, completing a Department of Public Safety-approved Driver Education is mandatory. All Star Driver Education offers a DPS approved course that fulfills the Driver Education requirement in Oklahoma.

The student must complete all necessary coursework and pass the final exam with a 70% or higher. The final exam answer sheet and drive log must be provided to All Star so that we can issue the certificate of completion which is mailed to the physical address listed on your account.

Students may start Driver Education prior to obtaining the learner permit. At the age of 15 ½ years old, students become eligible to apply for a Learner Permit. A Learner Permit is a limited Driver License that allows students to practice safe driving techniques while accompanied by an experienced driver. If you have not taken or are not currently enrolled & receiving instruction in Driver Education, you must be 16 years old to apply for a Learner Permit. Students must hold their permit for 6 months to take the Road Test.

To apply for a Learner Permit at the age of 15 ½ years old a student must: Attend an All Star Driver Education Parent Taught Driver Education Program which enables students to complete the classroom portion of driver’s education at home through a DVD course or online, while parents provide the required 55 hours of in-car training.

– OR Attend an approved Driver Education course and provide proof of Driver Education enrollment which must be signed by your instructor.

• Proof of enrollment in a secondary or vocational-technical school, or enrollment or completionof a GED.
